Terms of Service

1. The service
Reportly lets a teacher enter marks, skill scores, tags, and notes for their learners and generates a first-draft report-card comment for each learner and subject, written to match that teacher's own voice. Every generated comment is a starting point: the teacher reviews, edits, and approves it before it goes into any report card. Reportly does not send reports to parents or schools on a teacher's behalf.
2. Accounts and access
Accounts are currently set up for us on request (see our registration form). You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for anything done under your account.
3. Fees
An individual teacher membership is R500 per teacher per year, covering unlimited comment generation across all your classes, subjects, and terms for that year. Schools registering their whole staff receive a tailored package priced to the school instead of a flat per-teacher rate. We'll always confirm price before taking payment. Pricing may change for future membership periods as we add languages and features; where reasonably possible we'll honour the rate a member joined at for their current paid period.
4. Your data, and who is responsible for it
Learner and school information you enter remains yours. As the teacher or school registering for Reportly, you are the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) for the personal information you process through the service. You confirm you have the necessary basis (such as parental consent obtained through your school's normal enrolment process) to process your learners' information. Reportly acts only as an operator, processing that information on your instruction to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Acceptable use
Use Reportly only for genuine school reporting purposes, only enter information you're entitled to process, and don't attempt to access another teacher or school's records.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Reportly available and reliable, but as with any online service we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update these terms, the service, or its features from time to time; we'll let members know of material changes.
7. Ending your membership
You may stop using Reportly and ask us to delete your data at any time by contacting hello@reportly.co.za.
